Crossroads Caring Scotland is one of the country's leading voluntary sector providers of support for carers and their families. Established as a charity in Scotland in 1978, we provide support services across Scotland, helping people to live independently at home.

Carer, Ken Lawson speaks to Crossroads, CEO Mags McCarthy about his experiences supporting his wife Mary, who lived with dementia for eight years.

On October 3rd 2017, Crossroads Caring held its biennial conference in Glasgow. The theme of the conference was ‘Early Intervention for individuals and families living with dementia’ and speakers included the Scottish Minister for Mental Health, Maureen Watt MSP and Arlene Crockett of Alzheimer’s Scotland. A taster of the Conference can be viewed here.

Also shown at the conference for the first time was an in-depth interview with broadcaster Katie Derham, who spoke movingly about her family’s experience following her mother’s diagnosis with early onset dementia. The full interview can be viewed here.
