Support Workers - Sutherland

Crossroads Caring Scotland is a national charity established in 1978 to provide short breaks for carers and their families. The organisation is recognised as one of Scotland’s leading voluntary sector providers of domiciliary support - providing support to people living in their own homes and within their community. This is achieved through its 22 local services and operating within 18 local authority areas.

We are seeking to recruit support workers to join our dedicated care team in the Sutherland area and in particular Bettyhill, Durness, Lochinver and Kinlochbervie.

Previous qualifications SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not required for employment. Applicants should be willing to work to gain an SVQ2 in care.

Training will be provided.

Valid driving licence, use of car and business car insurance is essential for the post.

Appointment to the post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for Children and Adults.
